TSuite Readme Version 1.5
NOTE: tSuite consists of: (1) an Employee program for
employees to clock in and out from their workstation,
plus (2) an Administrative program to print/export
payroll reports and to manage employee time records .
Both programs are contained in the downloaded file named
“tsinstall.exe.”
1. DOWNLOAD AND SAVE THE SOFTWARE
a. When you download the tsInstall.exe file, be sure to
select Save when prompted to "Run" or "Save" the file.
Record the folder location you choose to save the file.
b. If this software will be used on networked computers,
copy the downloaded tsInstall.exe to each computer.
2. INSTALL THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM
Install the administrative software on the
administrator’s computer.
a. Locate the tsInstall.exe file, and double click it to
extract the installation files and folders. By default,
the extracted files will be located in a folder named
“C:\TSinstall.”
b. After successfully extracting the files, an
installation screen will appear automatically. (If the
installation screen does not appear, locate the
"tSuiteInstall.bat" file, and double click it.)
c. Scroll through the license agreement. If you agree
with the terms, click on "Agree" to start the
installation. If you click on "Do Not Agree", the
installation will be cancelled.
d. On the next screen, click on "Install Administrator
Program."
e. Follow the on-screen instructions. If a message
appears asking if you want to Open or Save, click on
"Open" to continue. During the installation, if messages
appear asking if you want to keep the existing file,
click "Yes."
f. After the files are installed, a message will be
displayed indicating that the administrative module
install was completed successfully. A program icon will
be added to your screen desktop.
g. Double-click the program icon to start the
Administrative program.
h. During the trial period, a window appears with
buttons to Buy, Continue, or Cancel. Click "Continue" to
run the program.
NOTE: If you decide to "Buy", a window appears to direct
you to our web site to purchase a license. After you
enter the required license key, the Trial window will no
longer appear.
i. You will be asked for a password; enter "password"
(all lower case) to get started. Later, you should
change this temporary password in the "Custom Settings"
screen.
j. If you move the database file (e.g., to a server),
you must restart the Administrative and Employee
programs after the move. A screen will appear to allow
you to enter the new location of the database file. If
the tSuite.mdb does not appear in the default window,
click on the Browse button to navigate to the correct
folder.
k. To install the Employee program on this same
computer, skip to step 4 below.
B. INSTALL THE EMPLOYEE PROGRAM
a. Locate the tsInstall.exe file, and double click it to
extract the installation files and folders.
b. After successful extraction, an installation screen
will appear automatically. (If the installation screen
does not appear, locate the "tSuiteInstall.bat" file,
and double click it.)
c. Scroll through the license agreement. If you agree
with the terms, click on "Agree" to start the
installation. If you click on "Do Not Agree", the
installation will be cancelled.
d. On the next screen, click on "Install Employee
Program."
e. Follow the on-screen instructions. If a message
appears asking if you want to Open or Save, click on
Open to continue. After the files are installed, a
message will be displayed indicating that the install
was completed successfully. A program icon will be added
to your screen desktop.
f. When you start the Employee program on a connected
pc, you will be asked to enter the location of the
database file. If the tSuite database file does not
appear in the default window, click on the Browse button
to navigate to the correct folder. The default location
is “C:\tkeeperData\tSuite.mdb” on the administrator’s
computer.
g. Repeat steps a through f for each employee
workstation on the network.
After installation, look in your C:\Program Files\tSuite
folder for the tSuite Users Guide. The guide will show
you how to customize the program for your company, and
how to take advantage of all of the software features.
